On the HOME page, click a link for a specific domain – e.g. Friends for the1000best friends

This takes you to the1000best friend’s domain page and the first 100 nominees for that domain.

To view the other pages (the other 900 nominees), scroll down to the bottom of the page and click a page number.

To select a nominee to view click their picture.

This takes you to their Nomination profile and PersonalSpace page.

Here you can view:

• PersonalSpace - an image and information about the nominee
• Tribs - tribute messages sent to the nominee
• Blog - blogs written by the nominee
• Nominator - the person who originally nominated the nominee

On a domain page, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click no graphics: view as text only

This shows a list of all nominees in the domain, their country of residence and the number of boosts they currently have.

The more boosts a nominee has, the higher in the list they are positioned.

This takes you to their PersonalSpace.

To view Tribs, Blog or NominatorInfo, click the appropriate tab

Here you can view:

• PersonalSpace - an image and information about the nominee
• Tribs - tribute messages sent to the nominee
• Blog - blogs written by the nominee
• Nominator - the person who originally nominated the nominee

A Blog is an online journal written by the nominee. The most recent entry appears at the top of the page.

A tribute is a message sent by someone to a nominee to congratulate, encourage, thank, praise or show you care. 

All tributes are viewed by the nominee before they display in the nominees personal space.  Only tributes accepted by the nominee will displayed.

To boost a nominee you need to go to the nominee’s page

Boosts are all about making Nominees feel good. Each Boost you send to a Nominee is allocated to their tally. The more boosts they get, the higher up the1000best page they go.

Boost your favourite nominee now and push them to the No. 1 spot.

Note: To make it fair for everyone, you can only boost a nominee once on any given day.

Click the Boost Me button

You receive a 'Thank you' message. Click OK. The number of Boosts for the nominee increases.

To submit a Trib you need to be in the nominee’s page

Tributes give you the opportunity to leave a positive and supportive message for your special nominee.

Once you click the submit button, we send you an email with a link for you to confirm your Tribute. This is to protect nominees from spam.

Click the SubmitTrib button

This takes you to the 'Submit a tribute' page.

Enter your tribute message details

In the 'Submit a tribute' page enter:

• your name
• your email address
• the tribute message you want to send to the nominee

Click SubmitTrib

You receive a message saying you will 'Receive an email with a link'. Click OK

When you receive your email, click the link in it

You need to click the link in the email to confirm your tribute. This ensures your tribute is validated and protects nominees from spam.

On clicking the link you are taken to the Tribute Confirmed window. Your Trib will now be sent to the Nominee.

Only tributes that have been confirmed by you are sent to nominees. Your tribute will be displayed in the Nominee’s PersonalSpace.

Your Nominee always has the opportunity to read your Tribute before they choose to display it on their page – it is up to them.

To submit a Boost request you need to be in the nominee’s page

You can ask others to send a boost to your favourite nominee. This can help the nominee move closer to the No. 1 spot within their domain.

Click the SendBooster button

This takes you to the 'Get a boost' page.

Enter email addresses

In the 'Get a boost' page enter the email address or addresses of the people you want to send the boost request to.

NOTE: If you are entering multiple recipients, separate each email address with a comma.

Click Send Message

An email containing the text displayed, will be sent to the recipients you've specified.

On the HOME page or a DOMAIN page, enter the nominee’s name in the Search Nominee box

You can use either the nominee’s first name, last name, part of a name or full name. If your Nominee uses a nickname to identify themselves you will need to use this. The search is done on the Display Name used in their personal profile. Nominee's do not have to display their real name. It's up to them.

Click the Find button

Click  

This takes you to a page showing the results of your search. You will see a listing of all nominees that match your search name (if any) and the domains where they are represented.

Click on Select to go to a nominee's page

In the Nominee Search window locate your nominee and click Select to go to your nominee’s page.

NOTE: If your search was not successful, you can do another search from the results page.

Perform another search using the New Search box

If your nominee is not located in your first search, conduct a new search.

Click the Get a free nomination... link on the home page of the1000best

Setting up a nomination is completed in four stages:

• Stage 1 – Create a login account
• Stage 2 – Enter your Personal details
• Stage 3 – Accept the Terms of Use/Service agreement
• Stage 4 – Enter the Nominee gift details and send the gift email

In the 'Free Newsletter' box, enter your email address

You are most welcome to subscribe to our regular free newsletter. It is full of fascinating and innovative information about human excellence, positive psychology and how to achieve real success and happiness in life!

Enter your email address in the box.

Click the Register button

Click the button. You will see a 'Registration successful' message. Click OK to close the message box.

You will be sent an email with a link to confirm your registration. This ensures that only you can register your email address and that your email is a valid address.

Newsletters will be forwarded to your email address.

When you receive your newsletter confirmation email, click the link in it

You need to click the link in the email to confirm your newsletter registration. This ensures your registration is validated and protects you from spam.

On clicking the link you are taken to the 'Newsletter Registration Confirmed' page. You are now fully registered and future newsletters will be sent to your email address.

You can unsubscribe from the email at any time by clicking the 'Unsubscribe Me' link in the bottom of the newsletter email.

Click the Report a violation link

Click the Report a violation of the terms of use or service link at the bottom of the nominee’s page that contains the alleged violation.

You will be taken to the 'Report a Violation' page.

Enter the required information

To report a policy violation, enter the following information:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your comment or feedback about the violation

Please provide as much information as possible about the violation.

Click the Submit Report button

You receive a message 'Thank you your report has been logged and will be investigated'. Click OK to close the message box.

We will investigate.

In the Nomination Login box, enter your User Name and Password

In the Nomination Login box, on either the HOME page, a domain page or your nomination page, enter your User Name and Password.

Click the Login button

Depending on how many nominations you have associated with your account, this will take you to the 'Select a Nomination' page. This page displays 2 tables:

• Table 1 – lists all nominations you are a nominee for
• Table 2 – lists the nominations you are a nominator for

Note that if you only have one nomination associated with your account then you will be taken straight to your 'Nomination Update' page where you can make your updates and changes to your information.

Locate the nomination you want to update and click the Select link next to it

The update page displays and you can complete any updates required.

When you have completed your updating click the Logout link to exit your update page

When ready, either logout from the update page or return to the 'Select Nomination' page to select another nomination to update or edit.

In the Nomination Login box, enter your User Name

In the Nomination Login box, on either the HOME page, a domain page or your nomination page, enter your User Name.

Click the I’ve forgotten my password link

Click the link and this will take you to the 'Retrieve your password' page.

Click the Retrieve Password button

Check your User Name and then click the button. Your password will be emailed to you at the email address you entered in your Login Account Details page.

If you do not receive the email or cannot remember or access your email account, please use the 'Contact us' page to explain the problem.
