How do you feel about being nominated as 1 of the1000best!
I am absolutely honoured at being nominated as one of the1000best. Only good things have happened to me since being adopted by my Mum, Mal. This nomination is the "liver sprinkles on top of my chicken wings"!

How did you get your name?
When I was rescued by Mum and when she first saw me, she said with tears in her eyes, "what a tiny thing you are" and then she immediately thought of an Aunty whom she had not thought of in 40 years and her name was, of course, Daisy (but her nickname was Aunty Tib - Aunty was a very, very small lady and I guess Mum associated my size with Aunty). Mum thought this a good omen. But the funny thing is, the flower Daisy, grows prolifically in our garden. Another good omen!

When were you born?
Mum and I have chosen 1 June as my birthday, but I also have a Home Coming Birthday on 14 September (the day I was rescued), so I am lucky because I get two lots of presents.

What is so special about you?
Not wanting to be conceited!!!!!! - I am cute and cheeky; love people and dogs; I think everyone who comes to our home is here to see me.

But really, it is the love that I have for my Mum, that makes me so special. The love between us is palpable.

What do you think is a cool thing to do?
So many things I do with Mum are cool - drives to the river in Warrandyte; visits to Mum's clients; walks in the parks; coffee with Mum at our special Cafes; visiting friends; friends coming to my home for a play; visits to nursing homes; going with Mum when she is giving a talk.

What do you get up to when your owner/s are away?
Well, Mum has never gone away (on holidays) without me and I do go with her to some clients, but when she leaves me at home, it is my responsibility to make sure that no birds enter our yard and that there are no strangers in our home. On the rare occasion, I might have a little sleep but just enough to recover my strength!!!!!

Who are your playmates?
I have so many special playmates - Riley the Jack Russell; Snoopy, Chippa, Cantona and Bella the Beagles; Gia the Poodle/Beagle Cross; Quenya the Rhodesian Ridgeback; Jabari, Tasha the German Shepherds; Tammy the Welsh Corgi/Jack Russell; Skye, Robert and Ned the Jack Russells; Buffy the mini-JR; I am very lucky to have so many friends.

What's your favourite toy?
A new toy from Snoopy - a squeaky fat Beagle looking toy and anything with a squeaker in it. I have 82 (exactly) toys in a basket next to my day bed in the family room and I do play with each and every one of them.

What's your favourite food?
Well, food is a passion with me. I like to try everything, but I truly enjoy munching on chicken carcasses and chicken wings (all free range and chemical free); I love lamb shanks (which I get twice a week); I eat lots of vegetables and rice (because I have to!) and I get an occasional Greenie treat.

What do you do that your owner/s DON'T appreciate?
My Mum thinks I am perfect, but I do know that my need for constant petting drives her a little mad sometimes, but she totally understands my need for love and reassurance.

What do you do that your owner/s DO appreciate?
Too many to mention, but I know Mum loves me running into the garage (through my 2 pet doors - one from the house and the other into the garage) to welcome her home - no matter what time she arrives home, I am there for her (like she is for me).

Where is your favourite scratching place?
A piece of pink material that is on the back seat of the car. This piece of material has a special significance to me - Mum wrapped me up in it when she rescued me because that was all she had in the car.

What's your most humourous moment?
I can remember my Mum laughing when I was learning to walk again after my hip replacements - I was so excited that I could walk without pain, that I just ran and ran and ran around in circles.

If you were going to be stranded on a deserted island, what 3 things would you take and what 3 people or animals would you choose to be with?
I would take our bed; a never ending supply of chicken and a refrigerator that won't break down! I would want my Mum, Riley and Snoopy with me.

What's your most memorable moment?
14 September - the day I was rescued.

What message would you like to share with humans? Is there anything you'd like to tell the world?
Please be kind to all on this earth - have respect for each living thing and please don't hurt anything. I don't want any other person/animal to go through the pain I have endured.

What would you like others to remember you by?
My love of life; my acceptance of my previous life.

What's your favourite Quote?
"Live Life Like There Is No Tomorrow"

If you had only one day left on earth, what would you do?
I treat each day on Earth as my last, because I have been to hell and back. But, I would want to definitely spend it with Mal (my Mum) and I would hope that we would go out for coffee (I always get a sausage roll and the froth off the coffee); spend time at Warrandyte River; see my dog friends and cuddle up in bed with Mum.

If you could be anyone in the world for a day, who would you be?
A good vet or allied health practitioner who is able to help all animals who are in need on that day.

Who inspires you? Who would you most like to meet?
No one will know this being but his name is, Algernon Benson Thwaites (what an impressive name). He is the reason I am here on this earth.

How would you describe yourself?
Blond; sexy; cute; mischievious; fun loving; carefree; caring; demure when I need to be.

If you ruled the world, what would you do or change?
I would change the attitude of people to respect Mother Earth and I would make it impossible for people to hurt each other and animals.

If you could have one thing, what would it be?
I can't think of anything that I need that I don't already have.
